Grappit is a small prototype made in a day for WardstoneStudio's game jam, Fundamentals Jam #2. The theme was "Grappling".

You control a little green blob with the power to grab distant walls with his... uhm... grappling thingie... and pull himself towards it. That's it. That's the game.

How to Play

Gameplay is SUPER simple. You have to get from the start position in the maze to the end position without falling into a pit of spikes. You can grapple over spikes, but if you stop on top of the spikes, you die.

To grapple, move the mouse to the direction you want to go. If there is a valid wall in that direction, a green arrow will appear. Click the left mouse button to start grappling, release the button to stop.

If you stop over some spikes, you die and are teleported back to the start.

Difficulty

The levels are procedurally generated and get progressively more difficult to complete as you progress. The three difficulty factors are maze size, maze complexity, and frequency of spike pits.

Where's the Rest of it?

There isn't any, sorry. No sound, no UI, no level select. This was made in a very short time frame, but don't worry, your speakers aren't broken. The game just be like that.
