It's Time to Build

As the epnoymous Smyth in Smyth & Sons Construction Co, you have landed a big contract to develop a part of town. Your mandate? Cram as many people in there as you can!

How to Play

Move the arrow left and right to select a tower plot to build on, then lower a new tower segment into position. You can move left and right as the segment is being lowered.

There are three sizes of tower segment, each with different capacities. The largest segments hold the most people, so a tower with lots of large segments will hold far more people.

You can stack towers as high as you like but you can't put a segment on top of any segments that have a smaller capacity. Doing so will cause the tower underneath to become structurally unsound and collapse, losing all of that precious space for humans.

Controls

Use A and D to move left and right and S or Space Bar to start lowering a tower segment. While being lowered, holding S or Space Bar will cause the segment to be lowered faster.

About the Game

This game was made over approximately 8 hours (admittedly a lot of that was spent distracted by my Twitch chat) for a mini-game jam being hosted in my Discord server by IrregularSalt. The theme was "Stacking Puzzles"

Due to time constraints, the game is currently very bare-bones. There is no win/fail state. You can theoretically fill the entire screen with towers, which would result in not being able to make any more moves. At which point you would have to restart the game to play more.
